The Depot

The Depot – Downtown Reno

The Depot is located in downtown Reno inside an old building built in 1910 that once housed the headquarters for the Nevada-California-Oregon Railway. Things have changed over the years, however, and now The Depot is using the location to brew their own beer and distill their own spirits, including their award-winning Silver Corn Whiskey. This unaged, light whiskey makes it a delicious spirit that works in almost any type of cocktail. They also distill an aged version of their corn whiskey, bourbon, gin, aged gin, rye whiskey, and single malt. Their take on the classic Moscow Mule, which they dub the Silver Donkey, uses their silver corn whiskey in place of vodka for delicious results. One of the more unique drinks they serve is the Asahara which contains Keffir lime vodka, lime, pear liqueur, pear bitters, ginger syrup, and Nigori sake. Delicious!

Centro Bar & Kitchen – Midtown Reno

Centro already has a reputation for being an amazing tapas restaurant, but their cocktail menu is worth the trip alone! Located, just down the street from one of our other picks, 1864 Tavern, Centro is a hip restaurant in Midtown that puts food & drink on the same pedestal. For a little heat, try their Spicy Mama cocktail: tequila, blackberry agave syrup, triple sec, jalapeno, and lime. Or you can stick to the sweet stuff and go for The Nanna: gin, lemon juice, rosemary syrup, and pomegranate juice.
